great gathering on the dock yesterday. Kudos to Angelica Kyle and her committee. What a wonderful event on a beautiful day with good food and mimosas under our new deck cover . Hope somebody will post some pictures. Can't wait to attend the next social on Cinco de Mayo. Thx again Angelica and crew. BTW the deck cover is absolutely fabulous.

What does WRBC do in the community? On Saturday April 8th our club in collaboration with the Rotary Club of Dallas and Sea Scouts Ship 1899 held a day of community service and boating. We hosted a group of Woodrow students who joined us in the morning for a shoreline clean up. The students are participants in a mentoring program run by the Rotary Club of Dallas. After lunch the Sea Scouts showed the students how to rig Flying Scotts. Then it was out on the water for some sailing. Back to the dock where our member Mike Swope gave a quick lesson on getting into a kayak then back out on the water and a chance to explore White Rock Creek. If you are part of a group that works with DISD students and want to discuss possible service opportunities that fall within the scope of our club's mission then contact our Commodore Jeanne Tunks to discuss.
